What is a Print?
Today in our digital world you can find an array of different kinds of Prints.
Many artist choose to create digital art. And of course the only way of proofing such work is in print.
The printing process as been with for hundreds of years.
Here is a guide to what is for the layman and buyer a source of confusion.

Which is the odd man out?
The artists original print.
This is where the artist as created art work using a one of a number ways.
Carving a wood block
scratching and engraving on a metal plate
etching with acids
painting onto a plastic or metal  plate to create a Mono print.

All the other are taken from the original image by photography or scanning.
and then printed from a colour or black and white image onto paper or canvas. In value terms the Artists print should hold more value.
